Ball game

"I'm so over the sporty look," I stated after going through my blog and seeing the repeated pattern of baseball cap + tee + heels. But I still couldn't help myself. It all started this morning when I went to work in disco pants and a bralette. I soon realized that I was way too bloated for such an outfit, so I purchased this baseball tee (size large) to wear as a dress (you can see the day outfit on instagram here). Now here's the problem... I love it so much that I want to buy it in every single colour... #firstworldproblems much? Yep.

Anyways, this is probably my most successful night shoot to date. I'm actually trying really hard to take better pictures, but it's difficult to be the photographer and to be in the photo itself. So, forgive me if some pictures look like they've been taken by an amateur who knows nothing about photography (which, they are), but I'm actually very pleased at how these particular ones turned out!

Take me to the hamptons

Long time no blog! Working 6 days a week has been taking a toll on my daily fashion choices. I can't even be bothered with putting on something that's not shorts and a t-shirt. I'm too tired to even write in this post. So.. I guess this ends here. Will be posting more soon.

Kelly green

Ever since I got this green skirt I've been dying to wear it, but with what? Naturally, I had to insert a sporty element to it (hence b-ball jersey top, although it is in crop top form and looks nothing like something Lebron would wear to a game). I finally went to Ssense to grab something I've been eyeing for a while which you will all see when fall comes (huhu). I have to stop talking in brackets. Seriously, there is no rhyme or reason behind any of this writing, it's just one big stream of consciousness, and I'm not sure if it sounds really interesting or really fucking weird! Anyways, this outfit truly is the bomb dot com, especially with the sneakers. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Just kitten

I don't think there was ever a moment in my life where I said to myself, "I just LOVE those kitten heels!" However, when Valentino came out with their oh-so popular "rockstud" heels, I absolutely fell in love with the style. I find it a little difficult to walk in them, surprisingly, because I'm not used to such a low heel. Also, I have pretty thick legs, so unless I'm wearing a flared skirt, it's not that flattering. Nonetheless, I took these new babies out for a spin today and found them pretty comfortable (copped them at Zara a few days ago for only $50!) I'm so sad that I scratched - scratch would be an understatement, it's more like I dented - the back of one of the heels. I wish I could buy another pair, but they're pretty much sold out online and in store. DAMN YOU STONED STREETS OF OLD PORT MONTREAL!! Speaking of old port... I stopped by Ssense boutique today to order some goodies, which hopefully I can blog about in a few days. For now, enjoy these disturbingly unattractive pictures of Meg and I taken on an iPhone 5 by her 12 year old sister.

Patchwork

It's been a pretty busy two weeks so I'm glad that I can finally get back into posting legitimate, non-iPhone quality pictures on the blog. I'm usually the type of girl to throw on a pair of heels to go out after a hard day's work, but I've been working so much that it's extremely hard for me to find energy to do so. I've been relying on my sneakers and these really cute sandals I copped from the Zara sale. I almost never wear sandals because I'm very picky with them (and wearing sandals requires having painted toenails for me, even in a nude color as shown above), but I must say, these Stella McCartney inspired sandals are really perfect. On another note, I love this dress so much that I intend on keeping it for when I unintentionally get knocked up in the FAR FAR FAR future. It's hard not to love a dress you found on sale for $10 anyways ;) And on another OTHER note, I can feel my hair starting its awkward-length stage, requiring me to always have it up in a low bun. Bah humbug.

True north strong and free

I don't exactly celebrate Canada day decked out in red and white drinking maple syrup all day while riding my polar bear. (<-- that sentence clearly went out of hand) I started the day with a dim sum brunch with the family and ended it with fireworks at the old port with close friends. I am aware that it is the 4th of July today, so talking about Canada day feels outdated and so passé already.
