I don't do sneakers except for Converses. They're really comfy and my white ones go with pretty much anything (don't my feet look so little in the last picture??) I was on the hunt for the perfect pair of off-white lace shorts and I found these at Zara in the beginning of summer. They're very flattering and I love the lace pattern/cut out. I saw a pair at H&M too but I hated the lace pattern. It's all in the detail, people. This Topshop tote was given to me after spending $200+ at Topshop two weeks ago and I've been using it as a purse to work and to run errands (went to Costco today).

Fall Ready

Working in retail forces you to dress up everyday, and I love it. Not retail. Just dressing up :) Since we are promoting our fall collection at Gap, I decided to wear something more fall appropriate. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours for fall, along with forest green, tan/cream, navy blue and black. Zara pants are my favourite, they hug my bum very nicely. Even though I dislike Forever 21, their boyfriend blazers aren't that bad, although I prefer the fitted ones from Zara. Check out that hideous, barely-hanging-on pink ombre. Bah humbug.

To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of colour, but I've been super dissatisfied with all the white, black and grey in my closet. I took this summer to really make my wardrobe more colourful by adding soft pastels (I also adore a pop of neon!) Needless to say, my fear of colour led to a fear of colour blocking. I faced my fears by colour blocking soft pastel colours so that it doesn't clash too much, and plus, this handbag pretty much does the colour blocking for me! These pants from Zara hug my butt amazingly and let's not forget those Alexander Wang-esque studs on the collar of my blouse - GIRL! Been loving these peachy nude lucite heels, but the front straps does tend to hurt after a few hours. I'm one of those girls guilty of owning more than one pair of impossible-to-wear-but-absolutely-beautiful heels. Bloop!

Let's get Naked

There was no doubt that I was always more interested in fashion than make-up, but I've recently started to collect make up. In my early years of high school, I was seen daily sporting a dramatic cat eyeliner flick (which was complemented by the most popular girl in my school, thank you very much), but since I've graduated, I've branched out into more complex make up looks. I recently acquired the Naked Palette by Urban Decay and have been doing bronze/brown smokey eyes all month! I also used to be afraid of smokey eyes because of my makeup-unfriendly hooded eyes but I've found a way to make it work. Here are the products I used:

Dream Handbags

 I'm a real believer in quality over quantity. So it's no surprise that I'm very picky when it comes to handbags. Over the years, I have collected an embarrassingly huge pile of cheap purses from Urban Outfitters. But I think it's time to start investing on better quality handbags that will last me a lifetime. Here are some picks (in order of increasing price) I would love to get my hands on in the next few decades:

Tory Burch Robinson Shrunken Satchel ($250)
I usually only go for black/nude/grey handbags but I also love a cute pastel-coloured mini bag. At a cheaper price of $250, this one is just too cute to pass up. 

Tory Burch Lizard Small Resin Frame Bag ($595)
I've always loved the look of a vintage handbag and the resin frame and chain-link strap gives this one a vintage feel. This forest green colour is very different from what I would usually go for but it would be perfect for a fall night out. 

Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag ($825)
In my opinion, $825 is a little pricey for a bucket bag, but I am in love with the lamb leather and the studs at the bottom. I love the cool, grey colour and the silver hardware that matches it perfectly. 

Alexander Wang Rocco Duffel Bag ($875)
How can I not have this IT bag? I have heard that it is heavy and lacks shape but I love how it looks droopey on the arm and, with all that hardware, how could it NOT be heavy? This will probably be my next purchase!

Proenza Schouler PS11 Mini Classic ($1,675)
The perfect little black purse. So understated yet so classy. Very expensive for its size but it's worth investing if you're one of those people who like carrying the minimum in a black, simple, cross-body mini purse. 

Louis Vuitton Alma PM ($1,830)
Now this, to me, is a handbag worth my money. Its size is reasonable and its style is classic. I especially love this dark, vampy colour called "Prune Electric". Definitely a must-have for me, but since I find the style to be a bit mature, I will have to purchase it when I am a bit older. 

Céline Mini Luggage Tote ($2,400)
I know the hype for the Céline luggage tote is dying, but every time I look at a picture of it, I fall in love all over again. This would be perfect for those girls who carry their whole life with them wherever they go. Once again, another purse worth its price (in my opinion). 

Chanel Medium Classic Flap ($4,400)
Last but not least, the IT bag of - well - FOREVER! Every fashionista's dream. This is definitely a bag worth investing in - and fast, since the prices go up considerably every year. Made with buttery lambskin, it is the epitome of luxury. I plan on saving for one in the next few years because, let's face it, who doesn't enjoy a touch of Coco Chanel in their closet?

Osheaga '12

Osheaga '12 was a disappointment compared to last year and the year before. It was a combination of the heat, the crowd, the wardrobe malfunction and the bands. It was over 30 degrees C and Parc Jean Drapeau was packed with people (WAY too packed; Osheaga definitely over-sold tickets). I was so excited to see The Weeknd but he really didn't live up to my expectations. Florence + The Machine and Of Monsters and Men were musical gods sent from the musical heavens because they were what made my day. Also, throughout the day, the wire boning of my floral bustier kept on sticking out because of the way I was sitting and ended up looking weird. Ended up throwing on a vintage mesh sweater over it (borrowed by Meghan from Maquettex, shown in last picture). Next year I'm just going to throw on a jumpsuit and be comfy because it was all a hot mess.
